Stay soft

I finished Veera Välimäki’s beautiful Stay Soft Shawl. This shawl turned out to be my perfect size and used about 800 yds of fingering weight yarn. Snow with a pop of colour

The snow is falling today. It’s cold out but bright and sunny. Halloween will soon be here but I’m already thinking about Christmas. I purchased yarn to make Melanie Berg’s Colorshift shawl using Mad Tosh and Manos del Uruguay yarns. I love the pop of colour that the mini skein set gives the grey. Waiting for Autumn

I’ve been knitting the “Waiting for Rain” shawl by Sylvia McFadden this month. This is a beautiful shawl with short row lace panels combined with garter stitch. September wrap

This month I finished the Lilli Pilli wrap by Ambah O’Brien. I made the wrap shorter and narrower to fit more like a scarf. It ended up being about 520 yards. August socks

This month’s sock theme at my local yarn shop was yarn by Dye for Ewe. I choose the colorway “I crushed your grapes, you’re welcome” on the snug base.
