Snow with a pop of colour

The snow is falling today. It’s cold out but bright and sunny. Halloween will soon be here but I’m already thinking about Christmas. I purchased yarn to make Melanie Berg’s Colorshift shawl using Mad Tosh and Manos del Uruguay yarns. I love the pop of colour that the mini skein set gives the grey. Waiting for Autumn

I’ve been knitting the “Waiting for Rain” shawl by Sylvia McFadden this month. This is a beautiful shawl with short row lace panels combined with garter stitch. August socks

This month’s sock theme at my local yarn shop was yarn by Dye for Ewe. I choose the colorway “I crushed your grapes, you’re welcome” on the snug base.
